Here are the steps for using a VPN

For Windows download the appropriate client from this page

OpenVPN Downloads

After installation find in the bottom right of the taskbar the tray icon for openvpn

Click Import file... to import an .ovpn configuration file

Using the same tray icon you can now connect to the vpn

If connection has been established you will see the assigned IP address

and the tray icon should be green
